if you are interested in modern theoretical physics and the debates about quantum gravity research you should probably read this.
i haven’t read the whole thing yet, only on page 11 of 35 or so and i felt the need to post this here (despite the fact i know most of our string and HEP anons have left years ago, but i at least an still here)
so far i think it is a great read; i don’t agree but at least it has a nice overview of how string theory is criticized as “non-empirical” or “post-empirical” etc and the science/philosophy behind those arguments.
also apparently the twitter physics community had decided that their response is “Wtf ignored”. so maybe we can have a discussion here since they have deferred
