>>13239430I actually tried to read Lang, but he handwaves too much stuff. His "First Course in Calculus" isn't too bad, since he has an appendix where he puts all the proofs involving epsilon-delta which he didn't bother to put in the main text (though he omits a lot of important proofs like the integrability of continuous functions), but his follow-up book ("Calculus of Several Variables") is so fucking bad. He omits nearly every proof except the easiest ones. The chapter on Green's Theorem hardly contains any proof at all. Fuck that shit, I'm not gonna take everything on faith. I haven't read his "Undergraduate Analysis", which I would hope is more rigorous, but at this point I really distrust him.
