Dear scientists, mathematicians and auto-didacts,
I'm studying calculus with the book recommended in the wiki (Elementary Calculus. An Infinitesimal Approach by Keisler). The problem i have is that some exercises like pic related require aditional knowledge- the author says: " The book is written for average students. The problems preceded by a square go somewhat beyond the examples worked out in the text and are intended for the more adventuresome.
My question is: should i do a a intro to proofs book like book of proof by Hammack before studying calculus or finish this book and then intro to proofs to later come back and solve the skipped exercises?
Thanks in advance
truly yours,
Anon.
