do the work. dont party when you should be studying.
if you dont understand, ask. so many students just get too nervous or dont want to impose or embarras themselves so they dont ask questions when they dont understand something, and in general knowledge is compounding, so if you dont get point A, points B, C, and D which are all derived from what you learned in A arent going to make any damn sense.
show up. dont skip the classes. uni is tricky because a lot of professors wont give a shit if you show up or not, so theres no one there to hold you accountable for your attendance but yourself.
get plenty of sleep.
avoid alchohol or hard substances
it all sounds really cliche and obvious, but these are actually the make it or break it things that will give 90% of students trouble. most people can pick up the material well enough if they put in the work and avoid the traps.
