>Homeopathy is the belief that thing that causes the disease can also cure it.
Why is this considered a pseudoscientific alternative medicine when it's exactly how it works?
A vaccine is homeopathic because you give body to fight the exact thing that causes it disease. Radiotherapy is homeopathic because radiation causes cancer, yet you can use radiation to fight cancer. Cardioversion is homeopathic because electricity can cause your heart to have irregular heart beat and kill you, yet you can use electricity to shock heart back into rhythm. LASIK is homeopathic because powerful bright lasers cause blindness, yet lasers can be used to correct sight.
Homeopathy clearly works when it's applied correctly.
Why do people focus on cases where it's applied incorrectly and say it doesn't work? Like if someone is overdosing on heroin and you give them more heroin clearly that's doing homeopathy incorrectly but you can't discount vaccines, radiotherapy, cardioversion and LASIK (examples of successful homeopathy) of that. Even regular work out is homeopathy when you think about it (you strain your body and it makes it stronger).
How much of science is actually pseudo science that is just applied correctly so it works?
