Perhaps it is because I am human, but it seems like sexual features in other animals focus very much on functionality while in humans, looks are more important. We evolved shit like wisdom teeth that kill us. And we had that from before we evolved into existence. There is a hominid skeleton that died from a wisdom teeth infection.
Why would this evolve if it weren't for sexual selection being way more influential in our evolution?
