My central thesis is they are mostly caused by modern society, if the self-same system got better at diagnosing the problems it causes, terrific I guess. Its pretty natural developments since it means it can hook more people on mood-altering drugs so they can keep supporting it. Its like saying cancer rates are increasing because we got better at diagnosing cancer, when 40% of them are obesity related anyways (and god knows how many are pollution related), another condition not seen on mass scale untill last 100 years.

At some point you have to acknowledge limitations of your strength and accept the course of things.
