Hypothetically, where would you place a space centre in Africa to launch spacecrafts? I guess somewhere close to mines, to the equator and the sea (or a desert)?

Prob Madagascar so you can catch and/or dispose of boosters in the Indian Ocean. Prob easy to ship material to an island and Madagascar doesn't have as retarded of a political situation as mainland African countries on the equator.

depends what orbit you're trying to achieve. If you're aiming for other planets then on the equator, not that basically any where around the equator in africa would be a good place to put anything other than a rubbish tip.
