Well, why do we usually feel pain? It's the body's way of telling you something's wrong. Creatures that didn't feel pain didn't live to pass on their genes probably beacuse they couldn't resolve the problem that would have caused pain. If you're experiencing a headache it's your body warning you that something's wrong. Maybe you're stressed and need to relax, maybe you need more sleep, or a better diet, or to keep your room well-lit instead of looking at a bright screen in a dark room.

It's mostly environmental. Everyone in my family gets headaches but me. Brother, sister, father, mother, etc. I'm also the only one with a healthy BMI who lifts and, more importantly, drinks a lot of water.
