why? you can just fast or stop eating too many carbs and get the same effect (increasing sensitivity to insulin receptors) without getting defficient in vitamin b12, b9 and CoQ10, and on top of that a neuropathy (tingling on your body is a sign of it for example), reflux and heartburn (the neuropathy also hits the vagus nerve) from the long term side effects of metformin (1 mg everyday for 1 or 2 years will give you that)

Would be much better to see proper ERV-activity in in one way or another distressed cells/mice and then inhibitors.

Maybe Genom scrambling is the Lamarkian aspect of evolution. WHen there is stress there is generation of new variants. If successful in resolving the threat, this aspect will persist. Todays genomics technology is not able to detect genome scrambling since reads are too short. So it really might be that genom scrambling is a real deal in pathology and lamarkian evolution but we arent seeing it with todays technology.

I'd advice you to also look into Peter Duesbergs work on aneuploidy. This reseasrch reminds me of his work

Anyway, so you found out tranzposons exist. Good for you buddy. The problem is there are several different kinds of transposon, and they constitute like 50% of your DNA. They are so numerous, you cant just silence them with any external influence. The hard limit that kills anti transposon medicine is the uptake rate of the cell being too low. In smaller animals like c. elegans, you can inhibit them with siRNA, but even there, some will always slip through. For now, the best we can do is make c.elegans live about 20 times is original lifespan. However, if you tried that on a human, (we have tried on mus musculus) it would not work. The most promising avenue for now is activating the piRNA pathway. however, that is also carcinogenic. It's a tough nut to crack this ageing thing, but we are getting there. Unfortunatly, transposons are just a part of the storry though. You still have other mutagens, telomer degradation and a couple other things. Also, transposons paly a part in killing developing cancers, as dormant ones activate in cells turning cancerous. For a cancer to stabilise, it has to activate its PIWI piRNA pathway.
