and neurotypicalism is just the most common one?
even counting the evils/flaws of medical institutions, most "autists" today aren't diagnosed. They don't have horrible problems they can't fix. they're lazy teenagers who read a manipulatively written e-pamphlet and decide they can blame their faults on autism.
Whether standards should be adjusted to be more fair is a different issue (and I think yes, personally.) but the idea of "autism" as a disability is funtamentally subjective
