i posit that this was the worst thing that happened in the last 50 years to the advancement of science:
>indoor smoking bans
literally. smoking cigarettes is a well-known nootropic that increases attention and alertness. smoking in advanced classes at the top universities was commonplace at places like e.g. the quantum field theory at harvard that educated some of the greatest minds alive today (pic related)

they should undo indoor smoking bans, and just make smoking and nonsmoking courses for the lame undergrads who get their panties in a bunch over a little smoke
