Well what the best way to learn proofs?
I'd prefer something that introduced proofs over a subject so I can develop intuition.
also most real analysis books I try to start are literally schizo tier
is there nothing that is written by rational humans?

Terrence tao's book Analysis I was good. Understanding analysis is good too. Also consider Charles pugh's book but maybe as a second analysis book as it covers some topology at the start that might be a bit scary

Haven't read many algebra books desu, only read "A book of abstract algebra" in HS and later used lecture notes to study at uni since it's no my area of study. But for complex analysis I think "a friendly introduction to complex analysis" is good also.

I'll just stick to the positives. Purcell is a good intro for E&M, I liked that book when I was starting out. I can't knock any list with Wald in it really. Also Schwartz is good to learn from, I like it better than Peskin & Schroeder.

What do you think about the Greiner and Reichl combo? I feel like there's quite some overlap between them but I'm not a fan of Pathria
Wanted to add some qm in the first sequence as well but wasn't sure if Townsend would be too much. Maybe a modern physics textbook.
