>>13219537day 3 of symptoms. slept well, woke up feeling mostly alright, but chest has that slight fatigued feeling in it like you get after coming down from some adrenaline. very mild headache.
mom found some dead kittens in the back yard with a couple still alive. she had to seperate them from the dead ones which they were stuck to since apparently decomposing flesh becomes sticky.
I chastized her for going into the back yard at all when we are supposed to be resting. She panicked and put the live ones in a box and walked around the block visiting various neighbors. Guy in the back yard, who we assume is responsible for all these feral cats, actually hates them and told mom how his wife, mother in law, and sister all died (not of covid) recently. couldnt give him cats. mom discovered all our neighbors have been vaxxed however, and they were sympathetic. Eventually wife of fireman took kittens as she is apparently infected with the cat parasite and thought half dead flea infested kittens were cute.
Everything worked out in the end i suppose, the one crying cat will probably survive, the nearly dead one might not, unfortunate neighbor now will team up with mom to eradicate cat infestation at some future date, intelligence on neighborhood vaccine status is upgraded, and toxoplasmosis ensures its further entrenchment into human society.
Alls well that ends well.
