I just had a traumatic memory come back from when I was little. There was a litter of kittens born and they got to be a few months old. Well they were outside strays that i would look after and feed. I would try to help them best i could. One time one of them came up and it looked like it had another eyeball coming out the side of its neck. I don't think it was an eyeball but some sort of parasite. It has haunted me off and on for a while because that cat wound up disappearing, I dont know if it died from it or not, but it haunts me to this day that I cant seem to find any similar images online of that parasite and I wonder if I found some unknown parasite. Does anybody know what this could have been? Maybe some sort of bot fly larvae or something similar? I live in the Carolinas if that helps any in determining what this was. I dont have pictures of it but if I saw it again I could probably pinpoint it down. I swear it looked like a deformed eye but it wasnt an eye because well 1 it was coming out the side of its neck and 2 it did come back up later with that thing out of its neck and a gash where it use to be, before it disappeared. I just wonder wtf it was. It looked like it had a pupil and everything. But I dont think it was an actual eye but a fly larvae that just evolved to look like an eye. Or a skin worm of some sort? Anybody got any idea what it could have been? I cant seem to find anything that looks like it on google, and my pic is not related in any way, my pic is a winged ant smushed on a window.
