How do you seed doubt and curiosity in stupid people who sees anyone asking why and being inquisitive as a weakness?

I have a few ppl at work who's favourite sentence is "it's like X, I don't know where but I think I saw it on YouTube". One believes in ghosts and read Dianetics without knowing what It was. Are these peopl completely lost?

All I want is an interesting discussion where the goal isn't to win and for once maybe discuss the why and not be happy with surface level knowledge.
