Forewarning that I'm about to say some potentially scary shit about the virus that may or may not be correct and that I'm not remotely a doctor just a CS major about to take my third physics with calculus after this term.
Its gonna be really annoying listening to poltard fucks talk about the precautions we took with the virus when/if covid turn out to be nothing to be afraid of (well, besides the SEVERAL MONTHS OF BRAIN FOG FROM MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ALL AT ONCE THAT AREN'T OLD AND HAVE DRIVER'S LICENSES AND JOBS AND SHIT. God I hope I never get this disease. Maybe I'll be more employable after this if I never catch it), isn't it?
We maintain a semblance of order not talking about the potentially alarming post-viral effects of covid-19 in the long-run, but now we could be sacrificing trust in science when/if these QAnon fucks or other generalized retards start saying "See? I told you so" when the reality is they never knew what the fuck they were talking about.
Like defending a rich gf who won't tell you how she makes her money and you have no idea where she makes her money, just that you know the Nigerian scam you got her from was real and then somehow it turns out it was real. OK maybe not on that level of improbability, but why the fuck are people seeing these months of brainfog from a new virus, the number of deaths, the possible ways this disease could go post-infection and going "oh yeah that's fine. I can risk that". How can people know about the existence of AIDs and hepatitis and then turn around and say covid ain't shit? I don't get it.
They wanna think that because so many people go this fucking virus, but the sick reality is that we literally don't know jack shit about what will happen.
But the thing is, there's not much we can do to stop this mentality from spreading. If we are honest, its fear-mongering, causes people to be idiots, and causes panic which is inherently excessive due to the nature of fear. If we don't talk about it, the lies spread.
