Let's just say we only have 10 years of fossil fuel reserves left.
How fucked are we? What are our options? Can meme energy sources like solar power sustain the current infrastructure? Will countries finally invest in efficient nuclear power research?

We'd just let ourselves run out and civilization would collapse if there were only ten years to replace fossil fuels. Nobody would start any new power plants of any kind until 5-9 years into the decade when it was too late, especially not the people making money from burning fossil fuels. Also nuclear is the most expensive option and it's not very efficient.

Civilization would drop to a lower energy level. Nuclear would take over. While not limitless, uranium exists in enough quantity to keep things limping along. For most applications, electric motors would replace ICE. For some uses, we'd have to generate hydrocarbons artificially at great expense.
We'd figure out how to use other radioactive elements for fuel. There's no guarantee that we'd figure out fusion but fission would advance and the methods would diversify.
Billions would die due to famines as agricultural productivity dropped. Borders would be militarized at great expense so there would be no appetite for bleeding heart foolishness. The population of Africa would drop down below 100 million. India and China would see similar population crashes. The US would lose at least half of its population and would stop exporting food.
It'd be rough but eventually a nuclear powered society would arise.

Their anti nuclear stuff is almost certainly getting fed to them by the like of greenpeace, I wouldn't take it overly seriously. I read the report and most of their concerns seemed fairly dubious.
