These are publications from reputable universities in reputable journals, many of them including discussions on the neurological aspects of "intuitive cognition". That isn't comparable to the fringe studies of ufology or parapsychology. Intuition is also a phenomena known to exist, as we spend most of our time using it over reasoned cognition.

I disagree. Most people who go “Muh intuition” tend to overestimate their gut feelings. They can be wrong. Most people simply aren’t gifted to have a general intuition that allows them to “see things coming”. People can, however, gain intuition in something by studying immensely where they do things effectively without even explaining. For example, Eureka moments certain scientists have had in history, athletes who can’t explain how they simply knew it was the perfect moment for a shot, etc.
