Between understanding the vaccines to how genes have travelled through the land during historic times, I need to brush up on biology, and relive my school days independently, so that I have the basic facts structures right. What books should I read as an independent student? I don't care if its a textbook worth hundreds of dollars or a smaller book worth tens. I'm just realizing that a shit ton of issues relating to both the modern world and the historical one are biological in nature, and that I will have an edge in all things if I redevelop my biological structures of understanding again. If you suggest chemistry too, that's okay, since I know that both are intertwined. Thanks in advance.
