>>13197038I live with 2 friends. All 3 of us began showing symptoms of Corona virus at the exact same time. One of us is vaccinated, the other 2.
During the first 3 days, my symptoms were very mild. My unvaccinated friend did not leave his room at all during those 3 days so I cant say how severe his symptoms were. He has reported loss of taste since day 2. My vaccinated roommate had somewhat severe symptoms during the first 3 days, the period of time where I had almost none (only very slight itchiness in throat and somewhat unwell). On day 4, my vaccinated roommate seemed to make a complete recovery, other than his smell still being gone. By contrast, on day 4 I began for the first time experiencing more intense symptoms. I felt (and still occasionally feel) a sharp pain in my chest and difficulty breathing. My nose hurts in I constantly have the sensation of smelling something "burnt", as if someone put a lighter to my nostrils.
It is current nearing the end of day 5. Last night the chest pains got significantly worse, as well my difficulties breathing. Today, I am in okay shape. I don't feel great, but it isn't overwhelming or anything. The burning smell has persisted without cease. Occasionally my throat feels really sore and other times it feels just fine.
After experiencing this, the main thing I would say is that it feels unlike any other sickness I have ever felt. The symptoms come in waves, where you barely feel anything and then suddenly feel new pains and sensations, then they go away and return later. Every time a particular symptom comes back, it is a bit more intense than the last time. It feels like something is alternately attacking different parts of my body: mainly head, chest/lungs, and throat.
Something very critical I have observed is that the symptoms almost always increase the most whenever I am sleeping. The moment I sleep I feel everything getting worse, and after I wake up I start to return back to baseline sickness.
