That makes methamphetamine, not amphetamine.

If OP wants to make amphetamine he should make benzyl methyl ketone from the reaction between phenylacetic acid and acetic anhydride, then do a reductive amination with ammonium acetate.

Alternatively he could condense nitroethane with benzaldehyde and reduce the nitrostyrene product with LiAlH4. I think a more interesting alternative is the aldol condensation of propionate with benzaldehyde, followed by dehydration, to afford a substituted cinnamic acid. Reduction of the double bond followed by Curtius rearrangement and hydrolysis would afford amphetamine, or, you could keep the isocyanate intermediate and reduce that to methamphetamine if desired.
