I am in computational science. I have many classes ranging from learning how to deal with pde's ( weak formulation, finite elements, etc...) to high performance computing.
Knowing how to code (python , c++, fortran, matlab...) is a given, we have no courses teaching us how to do that.
I have 5 classes : HPC, Group project, PDEs, Approximation of PDEs, Hilbert's spaces and methods.
>I can't think of anything that would be especially difficult to learn on one's own besides the complex mathNobody cares about what you can learn on your own, what matters is the cattle stamp you're gonna get after college so HR knows in what box he can put you to make money.
