What's the product of a set containing n numbers?
(product of the set containing the first n-1 numbers) * (nth number)
Apply this to n=1 to get
(1st number) = (product of all numbers in the empty set) * (1st number)
=> (product of all numbers in the empty set) = 1

So x^0 = 1
