However when we are talking about children it becomes a much more sensitive topic because children are still in a highly programmable state. You will see in matured victims of abuse sometimes a strong desire to re-live the experiences of being abused as a child within their adult setting. Like you said earlier, for some people it is not the experience that causes the trauma. It is society telling them afterwards that they were victimised that triggers the trauma.
Without people informing these victims that they had been traumatised they would otherwise live out their lives damaged but blissfully unaffected by the trauma.
I can't understand sexual attraction to men, or to females who are not obviously sexually developed. I very much do understand attraction to sexually developed women though and am readily stimulated by the nude female form alone.

Programs are written. Our brain writes its programs based off what we learn and experience. Nature vs nurture line of thought.
