If you look at the complexity of even a single cell, it seems borderline impossible for something like that to just happen by accident. Evidently it has happened on Earth, but my personal view is that it's such a minuscule chance that we're probably the only life in this galaxy, or at the very least the only intelligent life. Because if you start narrowing it down to what it takes for life to evolve into a big brain organism like us, it makes the process even more unlikely
