typical of my luck the t ring and t adapter i purchased on amazon to attach my dslr to my telescope for pictures of the blood moon tomorrow wasn’t delivered today, no stores near me with equipment but i really wanted pictures this time and still want to make it happen

as i understand it, the camera t ring simply allows for a t adapter to be equipped as if a camera lens which connects to the focuser, or in case of eyepiece projection adapters, to allow for the dslr to hold it as well as an eyepiece in place but does nothing besides that.

how ridiculous would it be for me to create some sort of makeshift t ring and just duck tape the thing on to the diagonal or straight into the focuser? will this produce decent images if done well? any tips appreciated.
