>>13188728>Of the choices available in the US, which is the best vaccine to get or is it better to skip out on these vaccines all together? They're interchangeable (literally, you can find studies about mix-and-matching second doses confirming this), Americans are just obsessed with advertising so they need to make a big deal out of the brand name shot they got. The only difference is that J&J is one shot instead of two which is a bit more convenient.
As a 21 year old male, you realistically don't need it for health reasons, but you may end up encountering social reasons to need it. College, job, travel, etc. Life will eventually probably be inconvenient for people without vaccines.
>is mRNA safe and well understoodyes
>and was the Johnson caused blood clots overhyped or a real concern?Literally all of the side effect stories (blood clots, heart issues, etc.) are media fearmongering for clicks. They latch on to half a dozen occurrences out of hundreds of millions of shots and use weasel language like "investigating possible connection" to hide the fact that if you vaccinate that many people you can find somebody who had just about everything happen to them afterwards. You can find a correlation between the Moderna vaccine and getting run over by a car.
>Also, is Johnson using viral vector technology a concern?no
>Not to mention, what are the real potential long term health effects of getting covid at my age and with my health?Fairly minor risk of permanent lung damage, which in itself will probably be minor. Short-term risk of a nasty few weeks coofing your lungs out.
The only conspiracy behind all the pushing to get everyone to take this shot is social control. The vaccine is just a vaccine, it's totally benign. The issue is just that people in power don't like it when people refuse to do what they're told.
