For background, I read a degree in physics a decade ago, and worked in an entirely unrelated career field since. I cannot remember a thing. I would probably put my level of maths at about the final year of sixth-form (last year of high school, maybe equivalent to US AP). I'm looking at going back to uni and effectively starting all over again, maybe studying EE.

I come on sci from time to see people talk about going back to do Master's degrees, or PhD later on in life. How the fuck do you guys do it?! Is there something wrong with me? I'm also wondering about the guys who jump between subjects, or take a couple of years out. How did you manage it?
