Alright you nerds. What do you think are the chances of Starlink being available in my country Maldives? Does it make sense for a chain of Islands country connected with a fiber backbone to have satellite internet?

Whether they would give license to Starlink to operate and compete against local ISP

100%, why wouldn't it? The satellites will still fly above you anyway.
If your government spergs out about it, just fly to a nearby country and buy your antenna there.
