you went to one of the most prestigious universities to study the most prestigious subject
you incel'd your entire teens and 20s, mostly living in near poverty, just to grind out the fancy paper that you can now proudly pin as a proof of your intellect
...and then you look around and you see millionaires in their 20s who have no concept of basic calculus, and you see athletes and actors and streamers and about 300 other industries just shitting on your poor career trajectory that you unfortunately fell for. Everything that you know and can positively apply to reality, can be done for free with a calculator or a math program without ever needing the input of a professional mathematician in between. Everything that requires that mathematician, does not apply to reality and has therefor not been modeled by a program, it's just a puzzle for you to solve in your own mind. You start to slowly realize this as the vacuum of authority that academia filled until now is gone and you're free to question everything that you've been taught on a schedule, which was so crammed that it never allowed you to question it. You slowly realize the absolute schizophrenic bullshit that set theory is and therefor everything dependent on it. One by one the illusions fall and you're left with the bare bones, for which you never needed a degree to begin with.
The spite starts to grow. You did not just waste your entire life, hoping to be the proud hero with the shiny medal on his chest, to be the idiot incel loser while some 20 year old kid lives the life you thought you'd be living. No. You must be special and they must be the losers. So you make sure that the entire subject is as obfuscated as possible, like a medieval priest refusing access to his bible, just so you can be the only special ubermensch scribe who can understand it.
