im glad you've got your life together, and yes it's a baseline goal, but it's a lot easier to achieve for some people than for others. count yourself lucky you weren't born in a worse country, with worse parents, with a worse financial situation, or a little less intelligent. all of those help you get your shit together, but none of them were in your control
I don't share your belief that helping people through undesirable health situations is a trivial matter, I actually think it's a very worthwhile pursuit, that's why I'm doing it. Furthermore, I don't think anyone has an obligation to commit themselves to a field they excel in, but despise. I've found the most productive and happy people choose a career they'll enjoy, regardless of whether it's easy for them, or incredibly challenging
It might help to spend a little less time getting upset about the choices other people make with their lives (provided they're not hurting you), and focus a little more on how you can improve the lives of those around you, seeing as you've already got your shit together
