I am an europoor who is finishing highschool in 2 weeks and has to decide what to study further.
I want to study pure math as my major and physics as my minor.
I could also study IT, but I hate the basedjak consoomer programmer stereotype. Also I like math and physics more.
The only other thing which I am considering is Law school.
What should I do?
What are my job prospects as a mathematician or physicist?
Is becoming an academic or teacher the only option?
I would like to discover something new in math or physics, but I don't think I have what it takes.
Now I am going to humble brag a little: In the 9th grade I qualified to the national math olympiad second tier math students(not going to explain further) and in the 10th and 11th grade I got the first place at two math competitions. I think that this achievements make me look mediocre, because they aren't the real math olympiad.
Also a question for German anons: which are the best Math universities in Germany and which are the more affordable ones, besides TUM?
