Do crystals hold and create energy?
Is it possible to make and use crystals for energy, mixing chemicals together and making use of this today?

How would one start experimenting....

Crystals are a form of low-entropy matter, so theoretically you could exploit the entropy gradient to harness energy. It would necessarily destroy the crystal though, and the energy "generated" would be minimal.

I've seen a few crystal batteries that produce 1.5V, but as the years go by they slowly start to rupture with pressure and push the magnesium core up as more crystals form and the outer parts split, there must be a way to slow the degradation

This is a form of chemical battery and works quite well, I've noticed people need to add small drops of water to keep it running, maybe the electrolysis causes the hydrogen to split from the oxygen but as the magnesium is eaten away it slowly fails

Could run for around 5 years
