How would one go about building a mini nuclear warhead for a mini ICBM (Intra Continental Ballistic Missile)? The blast radius should be sufficiently small such that it can be safely fired in an empty field.

Okay, but I only want to know how to build the warhead. What’s the minimum amount of uranium or plutonium needed for a small blast?

While the smallest functional nuke is classified I watched a doco from the 90s and a nuclear physicist that worked on nukes said the smallest he had seen "could be held in the hands". This makes me think maybe 1kg fissile material with a few more kg of high explosives to crush it.
That makes me think the SS-520-5 could probably get it anywhere on earth even if it comes in around 6 or 7 kg total.

Assembling such a bom is not that hard but getting the stuff you need to make it is basically impossible. There are basically 2 ways to create such a bom. America also used 2 boms 1 of both types in world war 2. Little boy and big boy. The principle is to get a big lump of unstable Uranium together at one place. Design 1: the easy way. Design a stone that looks like a dildo and a stone that looks like a vagina both are not big enough to explode but smach them together and it's big enough for the explosion. The impact on the nose of a falling rocket is enough power to smash it together. The main problem is that you need the 2 big uranium stones that are impossible to get or to make. Type 2 the big boy: one stone in the middle and place a ball around it. Shoot from the edge of ball small stones to the center. The small stones are easy to make or enrich but the tech to shoot the small pieces to the center is really hard.

The rocket is not that hard to make but the problem is that all hobby stuff is not controllable but could just scale up a home made science rocket but it's not perfect.
