What do i need to get for a final GPA of 3.8?

As of now i have a GPA of 2.75 but I’m only a second year in high school. If i want to have a GPA of 3.8 in my fourth/final year, what do i need to get for the next two?

lay out a spread sheet of all your grades (letter, percentage, credits or gpa; anyone), then leave space for the rest of your curriculum, play around with what you can do going forward, this may include course overload options or weighted gpa classes if your school offers it. Just calculate the mathematical maximum you can achieve, and the realistic in proportion to ability and you should be able to get an idea. to the guy saying to learn a trade, it is a smart idea, dont fall for the prestigious university meme and get yourself into the magical uni debt that is exempted from bankruptcy and other aids.

how am i a glowie? i am giving the guy advice on how he can lay out his options for his schooling? if i was what you claim me to be i would tell him to apply to a 50k/year for 4 year bachelors so that he indebts himself and works to pay that off the rest of his life. All im saying is that he should calculate what he can do, then look at his options and take action from there.

Does your school have a weighted GPA system? If so your best bet is to take as many honors/ap/ib classes you're comfortable with (don't overload yourself) and be 100% invested in your schoolwork.

So, assuming all years are weighted equally, you can solve for a weighted average with 0.5(2.75)+0.25x+0.25x=3.8. This yields an x of 4.85, which is almost certainly unobtainable, unless your school weights honors/APs out of 5.
