Said another way, if you lived in Flatland (good book, if you don't know it), a 2D world, you could never fully understand all of how it works. You would have to be from 3D world in order to completely comprehend and appreciate the workings of the 2D world and space.
Godel's incompleteness theorem is just proving that point. It's also why, despite our best efforts, we will never unlock or understand all the secrets of the universe. It's not possible. That is, unless the theorem or the logic/math is flawed, but it seems pretty sound.
