Add double or triple redundancy to a machine's circuitry and mechanical components, and don't have it made from shitty materials by planned obsolescence fags to begin with and you will only need surgeons for programming the things most of the time. Although if brain interfaces will become non-invasive and efficient enough at some point the ideal would be to have the machine just be the surgeon's extension.
