This doesn't even make any sense. How would being exposed to a protein wipe out antibodies against that protein, and what does that have to do with passive transfer of antibodies from someone else?

The real reason the AABB recommended against using plasma donations from vaccinated people is because any time there's a new drug or vaccine released, people who receive it are deferred from donation until the AABB can meet to say it's okay. Which they did shortly after that segment aired anyway. Vaccinated people aren't used for plasma therapy because there wasn't tons of data on how much antibody was found in their sera compared to people who had natural infection (the point of a vaccine is immunological memory, antibodies are just an easy thing to test) and frankly with how easy it is to make monoclonal antibodies nobody bothered to worry about it.

Thats not the order.

Antibodies are antibodies. There's no marker indicating an antibody came after exposure to a protein from a vaccine rather than natural infection. A lot of these local news outlets get their stories from a news wire. I'm just saying it seems like they got some information crossed. Things like "if you're vaccinated you can't donate plasma" and "if you donate plasma you might dilute your antibodies" and "if you get plasma the antibodies won't last" all get mixed up. You see it all the time in science "reporting."
