I'm a research scientist and I like to go to discussion boards where people with conditions/goals related to my research post and encourage them to self-experiment based on the latest research.
Anecdotes and n=1 experiments aren't evidence alone but it's helpful for guiding future experiments when you can see what effect it's having in the interested parties.
