Every single one of those is a complete, self-sufficient nanotech device that's programmed to construct a tree 10000 times larger than itself using nothing but common chemicals and sunlight, self-repair damage and reproduce itself million times over. And even more than that, it can adjust its own programming to adopt to new environments. If you said that a man-made device could do that, it would be considered science fiction.
