If I understand correctly, color is just a tiny piece of the electromagnetic spectrum. electric and magnetic waves are created when an electron moves to a lower energy state and emits a photon which then propagates through space.
except then the wave should be over since the photon is gone, it's done. in order to continue having the same color, the atom has to continuously absorb photons and eject them. where do these photons comes from. and how is the color consistent and constant? if the energy and therefore the wavelength has to constantly be lost to the emission of the photon and continually be absorbed. all colors should then be pulsating, but we see everything consistently?
