>>13174874Don't feel bad. It's respectable, and enough to get into some STEM fields with enough dedication (if that's what you were going for). Better to be midwit than a complete dipshit in today's world.
>>13176074I guess that's a positive way at looking at it. Both pragmatically and emotionally, it's just depressing because as the world gears more towards those who can do science, math, engineering, etc those who really want to try will still struggle to keep up... Strictly emotionally it's a pain because we've all been raised on ideas of freewill and being the masters of our own destinies.
>>13176251>A world with an average IQ of 130 still needs janitors and other people to do shitty menial jobs. For now, at least. As technologically rapidly advances, more and more blue collar jobs will be claimed by automation. I know that it's coming slower than the fear-mongers make it out to be, but it's still a matter of WHEN, not IF.
>Also, it’s always midwits who get the most depressed and defeatist about their 3 digit puzzle score.Meh, I'm happy. I took a variety of 'em and pretty much accepted that I'm no genius. I lie (most likely) somewhere in the 115-125 range and honestly I shouldn't complain. It's good enough to excel in the field I want to go for with enough dedication. Even geniuses have been known to have a tedious apprenticeship period in their life.
>and came to the conclusion that my ability to think relatively well is wasted if I don’t engage in intellectual pursuits that truly challenge me and broaden my horizon and understanding of the world. You just can’t escape hard work. Pretty much what I said earlier, even geniuses had to work very hard at some point in their career.
