Speech delay, eating disorders, hyperlexia etc. are all regularly seen in people with an autism diagnosis but they are not decisive factors.
Does he avoid eye contact and prefers to be alone/or doesn't know how to sustain contact with other people.
Does he engage in rituals/routines that do not make sense for anyone else except him.
Is he especially sensitive to touch/light/sound or certain kind of fabrics?
Does he engage in activities that are not "appropriate" for his age. Doing arithmetics and algebra seems to be one such thing.
Is he more adapt in understanding mechanical/mathematical constructions than social situations?
