i don't see why wouldn't that be the case? for something to exist, it first has to be brought into existence, or is it not the case?

Also I do end up defining chaos.
but according to creation and similar stories of chaoskampf god fought with the leviathan which represents chaos, though god was the progenitor of all things, so in a sense god was really fighting himself to create himself from the chaos which he existed.
imo god represents the interesting iff relationship between chaos and order.

How is that 'solved' by hempel's ravens? mb though i misread (2) syntactically. There's a bit of ambiguity there, because there's a difference between a thing having the ability to not exist and not being able to exist at all. (2) holds if we take the latter meaning

Which would mean that (3) does not follow, because things exist, and the rest of the argument crumbles.
