Question for advanced meditators

The experiment was more successful than I expected, I registered 112 occurrences of distraction each lasting an average time of 2 seconds. I only did the experiment for 7 hours though since the act of noting those distraction times and registering them seemed to induce more involuntary distraction. The experience itself of being actively focused the entire time was one of a kind too, I plan on doing it everyday. No I didn't use any drugs.

Almost all of the distractions were from my mind doing something on it's own, for example, while I was eating entirely focused and mindful, even counting my chewing, music started playing out of nowhere inside my head but I never even thought about it earlier in the day, random thoughts also started coming and going.

So the question is this, if I keep being mindful or in a meditative state the entire day for more days, will the involuntary distractions stop coming? I'm doing this partly because I want to disagree with the neuroscience position that we are our brain therefore we have no ability to control it.

I will repeat the experiment tomorrow the whole day while taking notes of the occurrences, you're free to try it for one hour or so too.
