Hi /sci/. I came up with this in my engineering class today, and I figured if anyone would be able to tell me if I'm completely retarded and wrong about this, it'd be you guys.

I was looking into that powdered alcohol shit that was going around about 5 or 6 years ago. It's not potent at all, but it's meant for adding to drinks and shit, right? So the flavor still matters.

Well I figured, what if you took the powder in a pill? Instead of brand-name liquor, what if you mixed pharmaceutical grade beta-cyclodextrin with non-denatured 200 proof pure ethanol? Then just load that shit into some capsules off amazon or something. I figure in a pill, the taste doesn't matter, and it'd sure as shit a quick way of getting drunk without the terrible taste.

The problem lies in the fact that I'm not a chemist. So this is all in theory. The reason why I'm asking about this is mainly just to check if this would even work, or even be safe for consumption. I mean, surely there's a reason nobody has done it yet, right? Also, what would the ratio of ethanol to cyclodextrin be for a proper powder?
