Attention and willpower experiment

I'm going to conduct an experiment with my fellow /sc/ientists, I will have to rely on yours honesty though.

>setup
Get something that can take notes like a phone or a notebook.
For a day of your choice, as soon as you wake up you will immediately check the time on a clock and write it somewhere. This is when the experiment starts.
By the end of the day when you go to sleep you will write the time, marking the end of the experiment. If you repeat the experiment take note of the days you tried.

>the experiment
You, the participant, will focus intently on whatever you will be doing at the moment, be it wearing your clothes, eating, mopping your floor, talking to someone, the point is that you must give full attention to it until the task is finished.
It can only be one task at a time though, for example. you can't listen to music on the background, if you listen to music you must must focus on it.
If you have nothing to do on the day, create artificial tasks such as staring at an image on some background, walking while paying attention to your surroundings, sitting while paying attention to your sense of touch, etc. and alternate between them.

If you get distracted, meaning you unintentionally start paying attention to something else (e.g. you are reading a book and suddenly you start looking at the wall with a blank stare, thinking about something else), make a note of some kind on your notebook or phone after you snap out of it (could be some dots, numbers, up to you as long it counts the events) and try to guess how much time you spent distracted (secondary information but helpful).

After the experiment ends you will count how many times you got distracted and add the estimated time (if you recorded it).

>goal of experiment

>reward
You will learn something new and accomplish things.

I will try this tomorrow after I wake up and I will bring the results if thread is still up.
