It's like that, but only because English is a retarded mongoloid language that formed by making a fruit salad from completely unrelated languages. In all other languages that I know, gender and sex are just one word. There are 3 genders: masculine, feminine, neutral(or middle). And the rules make no sense with even more retarded oddballs.

I am pretty sure we make can modify the code to detect most of them. The brain is usually very good at detecting the differences. There is a probably enough features that hint that a person is "cosplaying" the other sex or whatever is the correct term for that. If the program fails it is likely that a normal person would fail as well.

There is no way of looking inside a persons head from a picture to detect the dumb shit they classify themselves as. The most we can do we can do is pick certain features that hint they are trying to look like another sex, this can only work if they build such features themselves as these features don't grow out in the skin just because the person thinks they should have them.

That's only in indo European Germanic languages, and in swedish, Norwegian, danish and dutch the 3 genders have merged into one.
Romance languages only have 2 genders, masculine and feminine and they're also unrelated to sex, contrary to popular belief.
Some families like the Finno-ugric languages even completely lack gender as in there's no distintion between she/he

Romance languages developed from Latin, Latin has 3 genders. Languages get simpler over time. Just like English dropped most of it's gendered words long ago. One example I know that's still gendered is blond/blonde.
