Why are America’s priorities so fucked up when it comes to scientific funding? Imagine if we put billions every year towards fusion research instead of using it to explore the solar system’s many dead rocks.

The public loves Trek Wars. Power plants are boooooring. Bill Clinton was given a choice to either fund the Texas Superconducting Super Collider or fund the International Space Station.
